About Tutor Mark

Mark is in his final year of his Bachelor of Music degree at the Australian Institute of Music with a focus on Contemporary Guitar Performance. He has over 10 years of experience playing the guitar and has been teaching students of all levels for the past 4 years. This has involved teaching classical, rock, acoustic and everything in between. Since he began playing the guitar, Mark has mostly played with other musicians using his ‘ear’. As a result, he views accompaniment and cooperative playing as a fundamental aspect of learning the guitar and incorporates suitable exercises in his lessons.

Mark finds it very fulfilling to see a student’s skill level improve over weeks, months, and years with his guidance. He is very passionate about the guitar and loves when he can ignite the same passion in a student.

Mark provides guitar and composition lessons on the Upper North Shore including the following suburbs:

Wahroonga
Hornsby
