What We Offer
Private Music Lessons in Sydney
Guitar Tutor Commuter is a leading provider of high quality private music lessons in Sydney delivering unsurpassable value for money year after year. With great teachers, flexible lesson packages and affordable lesson fees, there is really no need to look any further for a well-rounded music education. Oh, and did we mention we do the commuting for you and teach in the comfort of your own home? Add convenience to the list!
We have a range of lesson durations available to suit different skill levels and age categories from 30 minute classes, best for young kids and beginners, up to 1 or 2 hours for adults and students who really want to get the most out of lessons. Lessons are typically held on a weekly basis; however, there are fortnightly and casual packages available with other options to help you cut costs. This is our way of ensuring private music tuition can always fit into your schedule and budget. Get started with a discounted Introductory Package to find what’s best for you.
Whilst group classes are a fun way to learn music, our personalised private lessons are highly recommended for students who are interested in developing a passion for music. The list of instruments we teach is ever growing; as is our team of passionate music tutors who travel all over Sydney. Face to face music lessons are our preferred method; however, online lessons are also a great way to learn music that present some exciting opportunities. Covid lockdowns have ensured that all of our tutors are well-acquainted with Skype and Zoom.
Our primary goal as a mobile music school has always been to create the best possible relationship between a student and their music teacher as we have found this is the best way to motivate students to practice and truly grow as a musician. No two students are the same so we threw out the ‘one size fits all’ approach to musical education on day one. All of our private lessons are tailored to the individual and are constantly tweaked through conversations with students and parents to ensure we are getting it right each lesson.
That’s not to say that we don’t teach structured courses like the AMEB, HSC and Trinity College London programs when we believe they are suitable. We just know that reading music and completing grades isn’t for everyone. The Beatles, Ella Fitzgerald and Mozart had extremely different musical backgrounds but all ended up achieving greatness in their own right. What they all shared was an undeniable love of music and unwavering dedication to practice. That’s what we hope to instil in our students.
Whether you are looking to have your very first guitar or piano lesson; joining the school band to play the bass guitar; or hoping to learn music theory or composition with some specific musical goals in mind, we are here to guide you on your musical journey; and who knows, perhaps you will achieve the same level of greatness!
