What We Offer

Online Music Lessons in Sydney

Living outside of Sydney but still want to take lessons from one of our amazing music teachers? No problem! We also offer online music lessons so you won’t miss out. Our tutors use Skype and Zoom to provide the best online music lessons Sydney has to offer at unbeatable prices. Thanks to the Internet and all of its glory, you now have access to Guitar Tutor Commuter’s renowned music tutors wherever you are in the world. All you will need is a computer, tablet or phone with a built-in microphone and camera. Oh, and an instrument of course! Online music lessons are a fun way to learn how to play musical instruments for all ages and skill levels. Our tutors’ high quality equipment and wealth of experience teaching on Skype and Zoom, particularly honed during the Covid Lockdowns of 2020 and 2021, mean that online lessons run just as smoothly as face to face music lessons.

Online lessons are perfect for students who are frequently on the move for work. Once you get into the flow of online lessons you will see that they can be an extremely convenient and effective way to learn how to play guitar and other instruments. They are often a more affordable option than our regular in person lessons.

In addition to being convenient, offering more choices between our tutors who are spread all over Sydney and being more cost-effective, online lessons offer some other unique benefits. Our tutors are able to make use of different features of Skype and Zoom to create different learning experiences and also send you various e-learning support tools, digital content as well as different audio and video files.

What kind of online lessons are on offer?

We frequently run private lessons online for guitar, bass, ukulele, piano, drums, voice and composition. One on one music theory and production classes can be arranged but we also run weekly group online sessions, which are designed to complement a well-rounded music education. Please visit our Group Lessons page to find out what weekly classes are currently running.

Before your first online lesson it is essential that you ensure you have enough lighting and that you and your tutor can hear each other. If you are taking piano lessons it is important that your hands and face can be seen by your tutor. We highly recommend using a laptop or tablet instead of a phone and doing an audio/video test before the lesson, especially if it is your first time using Skype or Zoom.
