With a Diploma in Contemporary Music and over 20 years of teaching experience, Andy is well equipped to teach a broad range of different music styles including rock, pop, folk, indie, acoustic, punk rock, blues and EDM. His 30 years of playing experience has lead him to a diverse career as a guitarist involved with bands of various genres, studio recording sessions, musical theatre, ensembles, weddings, corporate functions, churches, tours, countless events and more.

Andy enjoys helping people learn guitar from square one, or assisting intermediate and advanced musicians to take their craft to the next level.He understands that different people learn in different ways and always works to find the most effective way to help a student grasp ideas and techniques relating to the guitar and music in general.

Andy aims to equip students with the tools they need to keep working on their music both in and outside of lessons. For some, that might mean focusing on favourite songs. For others it might involve a more structured approach to music theory and scales. For others still, some lessons may involve lots of rocking out together with discussion on how to approach different styles of guitar soloing and improvisation techniques!
