Matt P

Matt has been playing piano for 6 years, graduating first in HSC music in 2020 then continuing his studies at university. During his courses at university, Matt has participated in numerous concerts where he both performed and helped host. These group performances consisted of entirely original pieces that found ways to highlight expressive techniques and create a conversation between each performer and their lines. 

Matt has composed numerous original pieces that explore aspects of different genres and musical styles. During his time at university, he brought some of these pieces to life through recording, producing and mixing in Ableton Live. 

Through Matt’s exploration of genres in his compositions, he has deepened his understanding of the musical elements that tie a song to its style. Outside of university, Matt continues to practise contemporary music pieces and compose original pieces, adding unique flares and expression to both his own music and other pieces he loves.
