Charlie started music on the Violin at the age of 8. He transitioned to guitar at 12 and since then has been heavily involved in music. He studied music at the HSC level majoring in composition and since then has been in involved in various professional music projects, including small and large groups for 10 years. Charlie has played guitar and bass in groups ranging in musical style from blues, to pop, to funk and soul, to reggae. From 2017 he was a member of a 20-piece jazz big band based in Ha Noi, Vietnam, whilst also touring to numerous functions and festivals throughout the country. The highlight of these tours was headlining the main stage at Quest Festival.
Above and beyond his own ventures, Charlie is passionate about education. His is currently studying a Master of Primary Teaching and wishes for as many young people to be involved in music as possible. He is a musician who believes in the transformative and meditative aspects of music and frequently advocates the health benefits of playing music. Charlie is inspired by learning music and helping others to grow their abilities and understanding. His main instruments are guitar and bass, but also dabbles with drums and percussion and piano.
Charlie provides guitar lessons in Hornsby, Wahroonga, Pennant Hills, Mt. Colah and surrounding suburbs.
